With simple care, your coating will reward you for years to come. This page also allows you to download your warranty, please see below!

Annual Inspections

Annual inspections are the most recommended process for ensuring the coating is maintained and care for the vehicle is properly executed. Inspections should be carried out with us at Groundwork within 30 days before the anniversary date of your service to ensure peak performance. Ceramic Pro is durable and long lasting, however annual inspections will ensure maximum gloss and protection.

CURING PROCESS

The Curing Process

Curing time is 2-3 weeks depending on environmental conditions such as humidity & temperature. During these weeks, you should avoid the following:

  • Sprinklers. The coating will protect your clear coat from water spots, and the coating is even less likely to etch than your factory clear. However, during the curing process you can get these water spots and they may be costly to remove.
  • Parking under a shedding tree.
  • Allowing bird droppings, sap or pollen to sit the car and bake in the sun.
  • Washing or abrading the paint.

If you happen to notice that your car gets any water spots, bird droppings, tree sap, etc. during the curing process time frame, immediately remove it following our care instructions.

*Keep in mind the coating is soft; be gentle when working on the paint.

Ceramic Pro is extremely slick, this means most things will dissolve and be pulled off by Ceramic Pro's self-cleaning effect. Minimizing rubbing (especially with dry towels) on the coating will ensure its longevity. Dry bird droppings, bugs or tree sap can be dissolved using alcohol solvents and wiped off with a damp microfiber.

Washing 101

Washing your car at home

Washing your car at home

  • For best results the car should be washed on a bi-weekly basis to avoid excessive contamination build-up. USE ONLY recommended mild soaps.
  • Avoid high volume brush style car washes and high pH detergent style cleaners.
  • Avoid washing in direct sunlight to minimize streaking and water spotting.
  • Wash from the top down leaving dirtiest sections for last to avoid cross contamination

Methods for washing

Methods for washing

  • Washing at home- We reccommend to use a foam gun or microfiber wash mitt to soap down the car. Rinse off with pressure washer or hose, and dry with clean microfiber towels.
  • Spray 'n Wash car washes- Select *high pressure soap. Soap car down (never use the provided brushes!). Wash car off with *high pressure rinse option. Dry with clean microfiber towels.
  • Car Washes- Touch-less car washes ONLY! Never use  car wash with brushes. (Even bad to use without Ceramic Pro) Never select *spray wax option.

The do's and dont's of washing

CAR WASHES

  • TO DO: Make sure to only get your car a hand wash or touch-less wash
  • NOT  TO DO: Automatic brush washes are a big NO! Always go to a touch free wash center! Using an automated car wash with brushes will void the warranty and dull your coating. Ceramic Pro 9H takes up to 2 weeks to cure to full hardness (see above). Handle with care.

HOME WASHING

  • TO DO: Use quality car wash soap or your soap of choice, make sure it does not include wax in it. No waxing needed at all! Use 350 GSM microfibers to wash and dry the car, and make sure to wash in the shade.
  • NOT  TO DO: Do not use a wax or polish on your car. A simple hand wash will give it that fresh waxed look again! Do not use abrasive towels, or wash in the sun.

AFTER WASh INFORMATION

Drying

Don't use any wax!

Spot Removal

Always dry your car completely and never leave to air dry! Tap water has minerals that leave deposits causing water spots. Only use quality microfiber towels for best results and avoid aggressive wiping. Allow the microfiber to absorb the water.

Spot Removal

Don't use any wax!

Spot Removal

Never use aggressive products to polish the coating or remove contaminants. Excessive force to remove any spots is unnecessary. Bird droppings, tar, sap, etc. should be removed ASAP to avoid temporary staining or hardening on the coating.

*Any staining left behind from bird droppings will break down in a few days without affecting the coating!

Don't use any wax!

Wax is not needed when you have a Ceramic Coating! It's unnecessary and the wax will not bond to the coating. Your recommended maintenance product is Ceramic Pro Sport! Ask us anytime about this and to schedule your annual visit!

  • For best results, all leather/vinyl surfaces should be cleaned bi-weekly with a leather protectant to avoid contaminants to build up. Remember to always replenish your leather's oils!
